I focus my practice on general civil litigation, with a heavy concentration in landlord-tenant law. I regularly appear in New Jersey Superior Court and municipal court.
As Union City’s former Tenants’ Advocacy Attorney, I represented and counselled hundreds of tenants facing eviction on almost every ground, including non-payment, rent increases, habitual late payment, condominium conversions, illegal apartments, breach of lease, disorderly conduct, destruction or damage to the premises, refusal to accept unreasonable lease changes, and others. I have also recovered money judgments for tenants for the return of security deposits, illegal lockouts, wrongful evictions, and rent over-payments.
I also served as law clerk to the Honorable Joseph R. Rosa, Jr., Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen Vicinage, Law Division, Special Civil Part. After graduating magna cum laude with a degree in political science from Saint Peter’s University, I attended Seton Hall University School of Law. While in law school, I was an intern with the Honorable Maurice J. Gallipoli, A.J.S.C., Hudson Vicinage, as well as the Hudson and Essex County Prosecutors’ Offices. I also worked as a real estate agent in Hudson County and continue to hold a New Jersey real estate license.
